SUMMARY:Human Centered Design and Community-Led Development
DESCRIPTION:We believe that power needs to shift from top-down development towards communities in charge of their own sustainable impact. Come and join us at our fifth explorative session on Human-Centered Design and Community-Led Development.\nWe can only truly shift the power if those\, who are passionate about that shift\, join forces and build their platform for change from the ground up. In order to make this transformation\, we must jointly shape the agendas. We want to do this by co-designing a shared learning trajectory and by exchanging experiences\, stumbling-blocks and potential pathways around them. Let’s incorporate community-led development in our day-to-day practices! \nThe programme: \n\nNienke Nuyens from Wilde Ganzen will present a case on #Shift the Power\nGarret Mason\, an experienced Human Centered Design Training Coordinator at Corps Africa \, will present a case from his work outlining how Human Centred Design can be implemented in Community-Led Development\n\nWant to join? Please apply below\, so we know you will come. Please feel free to share this invitation with anybody whom you think may be interested or whom you would like to learn from. \nWe look forward to learn with you! \nPractical information\nWhen: August 20th\, from 15:30-17h (digital doors are open from 15.15h)\nFor who: Anybody who works with these principles – or who would like to do so\nIn collaboration with:  Butterfly Works This link opens in a new tab\, The Hunger Project This link opens in a new tab\, The Movement for Community-Led Development This link opens in a new tab

SUMMARY:Hub@Beach / Potluck picnic
DESCRIPTION:Update: We received a great response for our Hub@Beach Potluck event. Unfortunately\, the weather forecast predicts strong winds and possibly rain. Due to this\, the Potluck will now take place at the Hub Cafe (third floor) tomorrow\, starting at 5:30. \nThis will be our first social event in person since March\, and it would be great to catch up with members and friends! We encourage you to bring something for the Potluck (drinks and/or food bites) for everybody to try! \nPlease note that the Hub Cafe setting has been adapted to respect government guidelines and would easily be able to accommodate you all\, keeping health and safety in mind. \n—- \nAs per tradition\, we are organizing a late summer Hub@Beach with the Hub community! So grab your beach towel and your beachball\, a snack and a few drinks. This time will be a potluck picnic following the successful community christmas party experience. \nSign up below and don’t forget to let us know what you would be bringing for the potluck. We hope you are as excited as you we are! \nNote: This event is for Hub members and their families only \nRegistration: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/hubbeach-potluck-picnic-tickets-113362779124
